Dining

The locals say that there are so many restaurants in Denia, it would take over a year to visit a different one each day. Not only quantity but quality; Denia is designated a UNESCO Creative City of Gastronomy and has restaurants up to 3 Michelin stars. And not to forget the local specialities of paellas, rice dishes and tapas.

Beaches

Denia’s 15km of golden beaches start right in town and are within walking and biking distance. Sandy and picturesque Marineta Cassiana beach is only 1 km or 10-15 mins walk from the house and Las Rotas with its great snorkelling is close by. Further afield there are a multitude of beautiful beaches and coves within easy driving distance.

Markets

Denia and the surrounding villages all have their weekly fruit & vegetable markets with local produce and Rastro flea markets. Denia's indoor market is open daily and is highly recommended. The fish auction and market are also open daily and the riurau local market on Sundays in nearby Jesus Pobre is very popular.

Fiestas & festivals

Denia has a rich programme of fiestas and festivals throughout the year when the town really comes alive. Absolute highlights include the Fallas in March, with huge papier mache fantasies, exquisitely costumed ladies and deafening fireworks. The Moors and Christians in August is also impressive. There is something going on most weekends in Denia.
